About the Designers

About Annie

  • Anne E. McCormick (or “Annie”) is a 2D designer (graphics & patterns), art director, fine artist, and art instructor. Annie majored in communication design (with an elective in textiles) at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD).

  • After graduating with a BFA, Annie moved to New York City (and environs) to work in the creative departments of ad agencies and corporations (such as Time-Life, Estee Lauder, and Chesebrough Ponds). She evolved into running an award-winning, multifaceted design firm with her talented brother, Tom L. McCormick. Her grandfather was the renowned magazine illustrator Thomas Haggerty Webb. Presently, she lives on the East Coast of the USA with her husband and entertaining cockapoo.

  • Inspired by art history, travel, and the beauty of nature, Annie has designed a line of decorative & artistic items for you to enjoy. She also keeps herself busy teaching fine art up and down the East coast of the USA at museums and art centers. The graphic design work of McCormick & Company can be viewed at mc.company.

About Tom

  • Tom L. McCormick is Annie’s talented brother. He is also the grandson of magazine illustrator Thomas Haggerty Webb. His design and drawing ability was evident at a young age. He received his education at Cornell University and the School of Visual Arts in NYC, after which he settled in Colorado where he now lives with his wife and son.

  • Throughout his design career, Tom has provided both corporations and entrepreneurs with award-winning identity, collateral, advertising, packaging, and digital solutions that create signature brand perspectives and consistent brand communications across platforms and channels. He is an experienced hands-on designer and art director who brings creative and strategic thinking to every assignment, which includes work for Danone Foods, Chase Bank, Horizon Organic Foods, Silk Soy Milk, and others.

  • Tom thrives in a collaborative team environment and is able to communicate effectively with clients, internal teams, and vendors – assuring appropriate technical follow through for both print and digital projects. He and Annie worked closely together, translating her patterns into printable formats and designing and developing this website. Go to mc.company to view the design portfolio.
